This page has been provided to help shed some light on the importance of each type of device that is commonly installed in or available for today's computers.
Ok, this topic seems pretty obvious. "How spectacular could a joystick be?", you may ask. Joysticks have been around long before the modern PC and as long as there are video simulations or games, will be around long after. And if you play computer games knowing what force-feedback or digital response is critical. A joystick is a hand-held device which is translates axis adjustments into signals that the computer uses to simulate real world movements. Commonly, flight or battle simulation games take the lion's share of the joystick's attention. Today however, joysticks and related game devices are equipped with keys, buttons, track balls, yokes and hats (a yoke and hat are gadgets that replicate weapons fire triggers found on jetplane joysticks). With Force-Feedback joystick users can "feel" attitude changes or hits through the joystick. Additionally, digital response transmits the jerks and pulls of the device digitally rather that using variable transistors.
