Ordering Help...
Buying items, in fact using the eStore's services, is a relatively smooth and utterly intuitive experience. We have constructed the eStore with loads of user-friendly tools to ensure your visit here is rewarding.
But even with a well-crafted web application like eStore, sometimes extra assistance is needed. Just follow these steps and you will be shopping again in no time...
- Changing the Country
OMIT Online's catalog, pricing, shopping cart system, and specials offer something rarely seen on the Web -- the ability to switch between currencies on-the-fly! By default, visitors are shown prices in US Dollars (since the Greenback is the most universally accepted form of tender.) However, by clicking on the "Change" link at the top of all pages next to the shopping cart summary, viewers can switch to another posted currency. Conversions are applied throughout the site, so pricing will be shown only in that currency.
Currently, US and Canadian Dollars are displayed on the site. More will be added as demand indicates.
- Adding Items to Your Cart
Ok, the first obvious step is to add items to the shopping cart system. All items that are actively offered by us will have one of these two buttons next to it:
If you want to add the item to your cart simply click on the 'Add to Cart' button next to it. You will be directed to the Shopping Cart page to review the item added.
- Viewing and Editing Your Cart
You can view your cart contents two ways:
- At the top of all pages within the eStore is the Shopping Cart Inset. It displays a running summary of the total number and total cost of the items in your cart. Use it as a quick notice of what you are purchasing and a link to the Shopping Cart page.
- Along the left edge of every page on the site is a Navigation List. Pages on the eStore site will include a 'View Cart
' link. Click it at anytime to view your cart contents...
The only two ways you can edit the cart is to change an item's quantity or delete the item. To change the quantity, enter a new value in the text box on the item line. To delete an item, click to place a checkmark in the 'Delete' checkbox for the item you wish to delete. Zero values for quantities will also delete the item from the cart. Once you have made all the required adjustments to the cart click 'Refresh Cart'.
If you are not accustomed to prices shown in the default currency or need to know what the sub-total is in your native currency, click 'Convert Total to Another Currency'. A window will open allowing you to view the conversion from any one world currency to another. By default, this tool is to convert from either US to Canadian or Canadian to US dollar amounts depending on which currency the site is set to. Most of our customers deal in either currency and we are located in both countries.
- Placing the Order (Checkout)
As you see in the picture above (if you don't see the picture above, check your browser settings) there is a 'Place Order' link. Clicking it will send your and your cart to the Checkout/Place Order page where you will be required to fill in pertinant information to process the order.
Any field with a '**' is required. Required fields, your contact information, and credit card security screening helps to ensure that orders are confirmed by the buyer.
If you aren't comfortable with paying online, check 'Check to send your order by fax' and click 'Next->'. Your order will be presented in a printer-friendly version which can be faxed to us for processing.
In an attempt to minimize purchases using stolen credit cards or card numbers, OMIT does not ship to certain countries. If you are purchasing from any of these countries with your own finances, you are more than welcome to contact us directly.
- Paying for the Order
The next step in processing an order is to confirm the shipping, taxes and total before paying. Just a reminder: we accept payments from Visa, Mastercard, Dicover, Novus, Money order, Certified Check (small orders only), Wire Transfer and validated Bank Letters of Credit (bulk or large orders accompanied with a Performance Purchase Order.) The Sales Department may from time to time adjust the accepted methods of payment.
Once you click on the 'Next->' button the order will be placed on our system for processing. An order confirmation will be emailed to you and our Sales Department. Ensure that all information is correct and you intend to place an order before clicking the 'Next->' button.
Depending on the payment choice and if you selected the 'Check to send your order by fax' check box, you will be directed to one of three locations:
- CREDIT CARD ORDERS: Click
to authenticate your credit card. Credit card transactions are handled off-site by a separate payment gateway company in real-time (you will get an acceptance or decline result within seconds of submitting your credit card information.)
- CHECK, MONEY ORDERS: Click
to view our Non-Credit payment instructions. Your order will be processed as soon as the payment is received and confirmed.
- FAXED ORDERS: Print out the payment page. The contact information entered earlier will be automatically provided on the form. However, now's the time to adjust any erroneous details. The order will be processed once the order AND payment are received and confirmed by us. You will also receive a call or email notification from our Administration Department regarding the faxed order.
